Joshua J. Williams is an actor, writer and director from New Orleans, Louisiana. Showcasing his talents in theater at the early age of 8 years old and transitioning into film at just 13 years old, Joshua has been growing in every aspect in the entertainment industry.

Since landing his first television series as a recurring role in Cinemax’s “Quarry” in 2016, Joshua has developed a strong friendship/mentorship with the series director Emmy award winning Greg Yaitanes. Joshua has since then gone on to work for other projects including, Netflix’s Oscar nominated feature “Mudbound” directed by Dee Rees, Marvel’s “Cloak and Dagger”, Showtime’s “Flatbush Misdemeanors” and starring in Prime video’s hit series “Wayne”.

More recently, Joshua stars and showcases his versatility in his new horror anthology series “Them” season 2 from Prime Video, alongside Deborah Ayorinde, Luke James and the legendary Pam Grier. On his down time, Joshua loves to produce and direct short-form content for his production company Melanin Pictures. Melanin Pictures is an independent film and television production company intended to create, educate uplift and produce meaningful captivating stories from the BIPOC community.
